Registration

Registration forms will be forwarded to you by our Registry Section in the next month. Please check the forms carefully, amend if necessary and return the signed forms to the Registry, Old College, South Bridge, Edinburgh EH8 9YL as soon as possible. Failure to return the form may incur a late registration fee. Please note, part-time and e-learning/online students do not need to register in person.

Tuition Fees

Full-time students will be required to make arrangements for the full tuition fee at the start of their study. Please note students studying on a part-time intermittent basis are classed as “Invoiced at Course Level (ICL)” students for fee purposes. This refers to the fact that students registered for this mode of study pay for each course as they study.

If you do not provide the letter of support you will be invoiced as a self-financing student.

If you are a self-funding student, invoices will be sent via e-mail to your University e-mail account. All students can view the current status of their own accounts via the ‘Finance’ channel when you log into MyEd (using your EASE password).


Withdrawal from study

If you wish to withdraw from study, please notify the College Office (educationpg@ed.ac.uk) as soon as possible so that the University's records can be updated.


Access to Computing Systems

You have already been issued with an EASE password which will allow you to access all the University Computing Systems.


Student E-mail service

An electronic mailbox and mail address has been allocated to you. This email address will be included in the student email directory, the directory entry shows your surname and initials, programme of study name and year, registration number and e-mail address. It is each student’s responsibility to check the University of Edinburgh account to ensure that all official University communications are received.


Registering for courses
If you need to register for courses you need to complete a Course Application Form which will be issued to you at the start of your study.
The College Postgraduate Office

The Postgraduate Office is open from Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00. We are closed on Thursdays until 10:00am for staff training. Please contact the office by telephone (0131 651 3122) or email (educationpg@ed.ac.uk) if you need any help or advice during your studies.
